Pizza Parties

Allowing that ordinary bought pizza has many things wrong with it from a health point of view what a good idea it would be to spread the concept of healthy pizza through the medium of pizza parties.
No more going out to buy, at mostly hefty prices, food for your party. Using the suggested short cut to the base through wraps, provide your guests with a choice of filling - all healthy ones and freshly prepared.
It is well to get so called 'wood fired pizza' in perspective. Sometimes it is true that the oven is genuinely fired by wood but often enough it is only a supplement to gas fired heating. What I assume it is meant to do is to offer a smoky, from ye olde hearth, element to its taste and a come on by way of advertisement. Well if there is a smoky taste this can be well done without as smoke in or on any food make it contributory to cancer and this is a thing to avoid - good to avoid smoked anything meat cheese and especially crisps and the like.
So we come to the business at your pizza party of heating / cooking the pizza. The size of your oven is a factor but the base being thin means only small amount of heat will be needed. It is healthier not to have a crisp base because the sharp produced traumatise the gullet and contribute to inflaming it and affecting its natural rhythm for moving food into the stomach.
A large flat tile, say 12" square, would be good to heat your pizza in the oven. Another alternative is a large fry pan - not to fry the wrap but heat it - minute smear of an upmarket high smoke point oil such as ground nut or rice bran oil can be use and can offer a little extra taste by way of a touch of browning.
The fillings can be whatever you want -  perhaps the guests can contribute but only healthy items.
As for cutting the pizza into the usual triangles the softish wraps are easy with just a pair of biggish scissors.
Good luck and kindly let me know of any issues you have with this idea.
